Nicky is undoubtedly the next Afrikaans child superstar! She has everything going for her, a good voice, a good look, she’s confident and determined to succeed. She definitely has the x-factor. Nicky already learnt to always give 110% in everything she does. The same goes for
when she decided to record her debut album.
She wanted something that will appeal to her peers, but also to older people. So she got some of the best Afrikaans songwriters to write her some great songs. Johan Oberholzer needs no introduction when it comes to songwriting. He’s written plenty of hit songs for many platinum selling artists!  Emil Struwig is an award winning Afrikaans songwriter that also boasts with some big hits by top Afrikaans artists, the same goes for Waldo Greeff and Michael Lindt.

Nicky is also currently working on a brand new Afrikaans film that she was chosen to star in and she will play the younger version of the female lead in the movie. The producers of this movie also have a very good name in the Afrikaans movie scene, with many awards and accolades for their previous movie.
It’s really no wonder that she has what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry, because it’s in her genes. Her mother used to be a child presenter on the K-TV kids club that was very popular in the 90’s and her grandfather used to be part of a couple of great S.A. bands from the 70’s and 80’s.
Nicky also just finished filming her first Afrikaans feature film, with top Afrikaans writers/producers Ivan Botha & Donnalee Roberts. Nicky plays the younger version of the female lead in the movie, played by Donnalee.  Nicky’s music will also be promoted with the movie in interviews with her. The movie is called: “Vir altyd” and will be released in February 2016.
